Mansarda

A Roof Held by Hands University of Architecture Bucharest - Attic extension & courtyard activation Inspired by Santiago Calatrava's organic structures, this project starts from the human hand. Intertwined fingers become arches, a protective shelter for the entrance and a luminous, folding roof for the attic. A glass roof with integrated shading filters natural light. In the courtyard, a double-helix slide echoes the gesture of intertwined hands, bringing play into academia.
